Canvas Products and Prices

We can print any digital image onto canvas. That includes digital photographs as well as actual photographs, slides or negatives which can be converted into digital images by using scanners.

1. Canvas Only – image printed onto canvas, rolled up and ready for delivery or pickup
2. Full Wrap Canvas – when the image fully covers the face and sides of the canvas wrap, and is stretched over wooden frame ready to hang.
3. Edge Style Canvas – the image fully covers the face and slightly flows over the sides (about 3mm) the rest of the sides are either black or white or a colour of your choice or a sampled colour from the photo, and is stretched over wooden frame ready to hang.

1. Canvas Only

Have your images printed onto canvas, rolled up and delivered to you. This allows you to decide on how you want your new canvas to be displayed by arranging your own framing.

Please note: The prices below are for canvases to the size specified. If you are wanting to wrap the canvas yourself then you will need to let us know what size frame (eg: 2cm, 4cm etc) you are wrapping over. Printed canvas that will be used for wrapping requires more canvas and therefore costs slightly more.

2. Full Canvas Wrap (4cm, 3cm and 2cm sides)

Have your images printed onto canvas and stretched over a wooden frame ready to hang on a wall. Also known as Giclee prints these canvases come with either 4cm, 3cm or 2cm sides. When hung on the wall the sides form the distance from the wall to the front of the canvas.

Note: These are just some of the sizes available. We can cut our frames to suit the exact size you want (for both metric or imperial measurements). Please refer to the price downloads below for more complete price listings.

3. Edge Style Canvas Pricing – and special orders i.e. when a request is made for COLOURED SIDES, MIRRORED SIDES, BLACK or WHITE SIDES and STORYBOARDS.  Either supplied by you the client, or as requested to be created by us. That’s just about everything other than a full wrap canvas: Add an additional 15% surcharge.

5. All Framed Canvas prices include GST and the following, FREE

• A fully finished canvas wrap (canvas stretched over a wooden frame) ready to hang on the wall.
• Unique canvas wrapping style that produces more streamlined corners – smoother than the “gallery-wrapped” method which leaves a bulky triangle.
• Spraying with a laminate which provides:
  • Increased UV protection
  • Increased scratch resistance
  • Increased protection from mould and moisture
• The highest quality canvases from USA and England.
• Gallery stretcher bar frames made of kiln-dried pine.
• Inks which have a non-fade rating of at least 75 years.
• Image preparation:
  • Colour Management
  • Sizing
  • Conversion to B&W or Sepia (if desired)
• Removal of minor marks or scratches from images. Please note, if these exist in the image supplied then it’s up to the customer to notify us of their existence and desire to remove them. Otherwise it may not be detected during our normal processing.
• Emailing proof for approval. We will email an image showing the face (or front) of the final canvas for approval prior to printing.

• Advice on such matters as:
  • Any pixelation issues and suggest possible remedies
  • The maximum size canvas for your photo
  • Canvas size options – we suggest which size canvas will best fit your photo

6. Extra Charges

• Packaging and Freight. Packaging and freight costs are determined according to the size, quantity and destination of the ordered products. For more information and examples go to: Freight Costs
• Non-basic image manipulation. Any image manipulation that is of a minor nature is FREE. However, any significant amounts of image manipulation (ie: adding Mirrored Sides or significant removal of marks/scratches, airbrushing, adding images etc) will incur extra charges.  These and any other significant graphic art work costs $50 per hour.
• Edge Style Canvas Pricing – and special orders i.e. when a request is made for COLOURED SIDES, MIRRORED SIDES, BLACK or WHITE SIDES and STORYBOARDS.  Either supplied by you the client, or as requested to be created by us. That’s just about everything other than a full wrap canvas: Add an additional 15% surcharge.
• Scanning (Photographs/Negatives/Slides). Scanning costs start at $11. Of course, if you scan it yourself and send the digital image to us then there’s no scanning charge. However, there will be further charges if the image requires cleaning. Every scan picks up a certain amount of dust/hairs/etc which needs to be “cleaned” from the image. The extra cost depends on the amount of time it takes to perform the cleaning. For more information go to: How To Order
